Creating, editing, and deleting workspace statuses

The status of a workspace describes where a workspace is in its life cycle, for example, Test, Pilot, Official, and Obsolete.

To create a new workspace status:

  1. In the Settings view, expand Kronodoc installation, expand Workspace properties, and select Workspace statuses. A page listing the existing workspace statuses appears.
  2. Click New. A page showing the available workspace status options appears.
  3. Click options or type values using the descriptions in the following table.
Workspace status options
Option Description

Workspace status code

Type a unique code to identify the workspace status.

Workspace status

Type a name for the new status as you want it to appear to users.

Status color

Type a hexadecimal color code in the text box or click the color selector icon and select a color swatch from the dialog that appears.

Note    The Sample color swatch is updated only after you save your changes.

Frozen

Prohibits changes to the workspace contents (folders, documents, and files).

  1. Click Create. The page listing the existing workspace statuses reappears with the new status added.

To edit an existing workspace status:

  1. In the Settings view, expand Kronodoc installation, expand Workspace properties, and select Workspace statuses. A page listing the existing workspace statuses appears.
  2. Select the workspace status that you want to edit and click Edit. A page showing the workspace status's current configuration appears.
  3. Select or type options using the descriptions in the preceding table.
  4. Click Save. The page listing the existing workspace statuses reappears.

To delete an existing workspace status:

Warning    Do not delete a workspace status if any workspaces currently use that status.

  1. In the Settings view, expand Kronodoc installation, expand Workspace properties, and select Workspace statuses. A page listing the existing workspace statuses appears.
  2. Select the workspace status that you want to delete and click Delete. A confirmation dialog box appears.
  3. Click OK. The page listing the existing workspace statuses reappears with the selected workspace status removed.
